On March 30, 2016, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Pavlo Khobzei, the all-Ukrainian seminar-meeting "The quality of training, retraining and professional development of specialists for preschool education - the priority of higher educational institutions and institutions of postgraduate pedagogical education" was held.
Tamara Panasyuk, head of the preschool education department of the general secondary and preschool education department of the Ministry of Education and Culture, also took part in the meeting; head of the department of pedagogical and postgraduate education Ihor Baluba, full member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor, honored worker of science and technology of Ukraine, laureate of the state award in the field of preschool education Alla Bogush; representatives of preschool departments, cycle commissions, laboratory offices, centers of preschool education of higher educational institutions and Institutes of postgraduate pedagogical education from various regions of Ukraine, representatives of the NGO "Association of Preschool Education Workers", etc.
Pavlo Hobzei noted that currently all attention is focused on general secondary education, where educational reforms are gradually being implemented. Among the main changes, the deputy minister singles out the start of a new Ukrainian school in 2018, which will have new curricula, will be divided into cycle schools (primary, basic and high school), etc. "Cooperation between primary and preschool education should be close. The main thing is to remember that the school was created specifically for the child, and it is the teachers who need to develop and motivate him to study well," says Pavlo Khobzei. The deputy also added that the main principles laid down in the Basic Law "On Education" are respect for the child's dignity, his interest and development.
All participants of the meeting discussed relevant issues of the quality of training, retraining and advanced training of specialists in the field of preschool education and identified tasks that will contribute to their solution.
