On August 11, on the initiative of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the KMDA, an additional competitive selection of candidates for the positions of heads of general education and preschool educational institutions began at the Kyiv University named after Boris Grinchenko. 38 applications from applicants for 18 vacant positions were submitted to the competition commission.
This is already the second opportunity for talented, creative and experienced teachers to realize their dream and lead a metropolitan educational institution in order to realize their own ambitious educational goals.
The Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Hanna Starostenko, wished all the participants of the competition to work fruitfully and present worthy and unique concepts for the development of educational institutions. She also noted that candidates for the positions of directors of educational institutions will meet as leaders in their dream schools or kindergartens already on September 1.
The selection of candidates will take place in three stages.
On August 11-12, 2015, applicants will undergo training and psychological training at the Kyiv University named after Boris Grinchenko, take an electronic test, and write motivational letters.
On August 18-19, 2015, candidates will have the opportunity to spend one day at the educational institution where they aspire to work. Their task is to decide for themselves how to spend this day at the educational institution.
At the third stage, all applicants present their own concepts for the development of educational institutions to the commission, representatives of district administrations, teaching staff, parents and the public of the capital.
Based on the results of the work, the commission will provide recommendations on suitable candidates to the director of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports and the heads of district state administrations in the city of Kyiv to make a decision on the appointment to the position of head of the educational institution.
We will remind you that in the first round of competitive selection, the competitive commission recommended candidates to 24 educational institutions in Kyiv. Currently, 20 winners of the competition have already been appointed to the positions of managers. Newly appointed directors came to support their colleagues.
All of Ukraine is following Kyiv. Thus, the competitive selection of candidates for the positions of heads of educational institutions began in Vinnytsia and Bukovyna. "Kyiv is the city from which all reforms and innovations begin. We have repeatedly called on our colleagues across the country to implement educational innovations and offered help in implementing new projects," Hanna Starostenko said.
