Dear citizens!
January 22, 1919 entered the national calendar as a major state holiday - the Day of the Unity of Ukraine. It was then that the event that generations of Ukrainian patriots dreamed of took place on the square in front of Kyiv Sofia: at a large gathering, the union of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the West Ukrainian People's Republic was solemnly announced. The proclamation of the Sobornytskyi idea became a powerful manifestation of the creative energy of the nation and the desire for ethnic and territorial unity.
Great historical events formed the basis for the revival of an independent cathedral-democratic Ukraine and the affirmation of the national idea. Under a single idea and a great desire, on January 22, 1990, our contemporaries connected the East and West of Ukraine with a living chain of links.
We believe that only in the unity of actions and unity of souls can we achieve the great goal of building an economically and spiritually rich, free and democratic Ukraine that future generations will be proud of. We will always remember the countless sacrifices made on the altar of independence, unity, and statehood.
We wish you all good health, happiness and peace. Let everything conceived for the benefit and welfare of our country and its people be successfully implemented.
Happy holiday, dear ones!
