Under the flashes of cameras, in robes and academic caps, with songs and dances, two hundred students-graduates of the Border Academy received their long-awaited diplomas.
Today, June 19, the second graduation in the history of the academy of students of civil professions took place. Former students, and now newly qualified specialists, under the walls of their native alma mater from the hands of their mentors received diplomas of bachelors, specialists, masters. A total of 201 graduates were awarded diplomas, 35 of them received diplomas with honors.
"This graduation of students of the border institution fell on a bitter and tragic period in the history of independent Ukraine. Shots are being fired in the east of the country, people are dying, the territorial integrity of the country and its sovereignty are under threat, says the rector of the National Academy Oleg Shinkaruk. - We believe that we managed to prepare you for an independent professional life in the complex present, which helped you to find clear worldview orientations, to acquire the qualities necessary to be progressive and in demand."
Where without traditions: academic caps flew into the air
The graduates, inspired by expectations about their future, took a solemn march through the square for the last time.
A graduate of the "Jurisprudence" specialty, Vita Vyhivska, received a red diploma of a specialist. He talks about his five years of study. "I am satisfied, studying at the academy was not difficult. Responsible attitude towards students. Studying at the academy helped me get a job in the executive service as a specialty, the graduate shares. - I studied the last course by correspondence, now I have been working for six months."
The girl says that all the years of study were very interesting. Initially, most of the teachers were only from the military, now there are many civilian teachers.
Now there are two hundred more qualified specialists in Khmelnytskyi
"I am a translator, but I received a bachelor's degree in foreign philology. I am learning German. I plan to enter a German university for the fifth year, says graduate Dmytro Maidanyuk. - Since I am an excellent student, everything was easy for me. Especially after the second year, when all my subjects were mainly related to the German language. We have a strong faculty and a very good attitude towards students."
Graduates rejoiced at the diplomas they received
The Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, Pavlo Rozenko, also came to the graduation of students of the Border Academy. The guest noted that it is very good that there is an educational institution in Ukraine that strengthens the border service and at the same time teaches civilian professions.
