On April 21, the Rivne Regional Lyceum held a ceremonial opening of the third final round of the All-Ukrainian competition "Teacher of the Year - 2018" in the "Ukrainian Language and Literature" category.
25 best teachers - experts in their subject - gathered at the regional center. For a whole week, Rivne will become the birthplace of new pedagogical technologies, innovative ideas and a source of creativity.
"The pedagogical elite is a gifted teacher who is always confident and creative. You have already confirmed this title in your areas. I wish you passion in your work, always strive for the best, share your experience with colleagues. Get an unforgettable flurry of positive emotions," Olena Kotusenko, chief specialist of the Department of Education Content, Language Policy and Education of National Minorities of the Ministry of Education and Culture, addressed the contestants.
Teachers will pass competitive tests "Lesson", "Educational project", "Practical work", "Methodical workshop", "Professional skill testing". Contestants at the tests will demonstrate professional skills, abilities in the process of getting to know new students, and will look for forms and methods of cooperation in the lesson. Modern trends in the educational process will be demonstrated, in particular, the formation of key competencies of students of the New Ukrainian School, all-round abilities and skills of the 21st century. The ability to creatively use information, apply innovative pedagogical technologies, and interactive forms of working with students will also be evaluated.

Realize your talent and creativity, show the work of a teacher of the "New Ukrainian School", - noted the head of the department of general secondary and preschool education of the Department of Education and Science of the Rivne Regional State Administration Svyatoslav Sydoruk.
Dmytro Drozdovskyi, the head of the jury of the Competition, read the congratulatory speech of the Minister of Education and Science Lilia Hrynevych. She expressed her confidence that the participants of the Competition "are called to produce bold and innovative ideas", that they are "constructing the trajectory of the future of our country, forming value orientations, attitude to life in its various manifestations". Dmytro Ihorovych wished the participants confidence in their own strength, "the happiness of being strong", faith in victory. The members of the jury hope that the participants of the Competition will demonstrate professional skill, implement innovative forms and methods, implement modern approaches to learning, cross-cutting content lines and form key competencies.
And on April 28, the members of the jury will choose one of the best teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature.
