The day before, Deputy Minister of Education and Science - Chief of Staff Roman Hreba met with representatives of the student self-government of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. The meeting was attended by the management of the university and representatives of the NGO "Electronic Democracy".
Roman Hreba supported the students' idea of introducing an electronic system at the university during the elections to student self-government bodies. "Such an idea is extremely relevant, because with its help it is possible to achieve the reflection of the real will of students and the maximum leveling of the possibility of pressure on them," the deputy minister noted.
The deputy minister emphasized the importance of using electronic governance mechanisms in all spheres of life and noted that the Ministry of Education and Science should act as a trendsetter in this matter.
During the discussion, the students proposed to improve the system of electronic self-government and introduce voter identification using an electronic digital signature. At the same time, an electronic digital signature can contain a student card or a bank card.
