The Ministry of Education and Science expects further support from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine.
Minister of Education Serhiy Shkarlet said this during an online meeting with Lotta Sylvander, head of the fund's representative office in Ukraine.
According to the minister, his department is counting on UNICEF's further support in filling the All-Ukrainian School with online lessons and teaching digital literacy to school teachers and university professors.
In addition, the MES hopes for UNICEF's support in the issue of professional development of directors of educational institutions regarding the management of the institution in the conditions of distance learning, as well as in the issue of strengthening the communication component on the digitalization of education for better coverage of what has already been done and what is planned.
"I am convinced that our further cooperation in the field of education will be as fruitful and productive as possible. UNICEF remains our reliable partner in the field of human development, and we see such a partnership as one of the key factors in the successful implementation of educational reforms in Ukraine," emphasized Serhiy Shkarlet.
At the end of the conversation, the parties agreed to hold the next meeting with a detailed elaboration of proposals from the Ministry of Education and Culture regarding the needs of the educational sector of Ukraine.
