The government redistributed some of the state budget expenditures provided to the Ministry of Education and Science for 2016. The relevant order is published on the website of the Government portal.

According to the Government's decision, the amount of educational subvention expenditures from the state budget to local budgets was reduced by 290,102.8 thousand hryvnias.

At the same time, the volume of support for the activities of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the provision of extracurricular education by state extracurricular educational institutions, measures for extracurricular work, the implementation of methodical and logistical support for the activities of educational institutions, the holding of all-Ukrainian and international olympiads in the field of education, the All-Ukrainian competition " Teacher of the year".

The funds are planned to be used to conduct international and all-Ukrainian events to identify and support gifted and talented children and youth and to conduct all-Ukrainian mass events for national-patriotic education, in particular, the Forum of Ukrainian Patriotic Affairs "We are Ukrainians!", the III final stage of the "Sokil" game ("Jura"), ensuring the participation of the Ukrainian team in the international student Olympiad in informatics.

In addition, this redistribution ensures expenses for the publication, acquisition, storage and delivery of textbooks and manuals for students of state and communally owned secondary schools in 2016.
