The presentation of the innovative educational program LEGO Education took place, the main goal of which is to introduce "One Hundred Percent" information and communication technologies into the educational process of general educational institutions of Ukraine.
The participants of the meeting were the head of the regional state administration Yury Tkachenko, the head of the regional council Valentina Kovalenko, deputies of the regional council, the director of the department of education and science of the regional state administration Valery Danylevsky.
The presentation was conducted by representatives of the Prolego company, the official distributor of the innovative international educational program LEGO Education in Ukraine, specializing in its adaptation and implementation.
The advantage of the program is that LEGO constructors contribute to the practical learning of exact sciences through modeling and creating robots and mechanisms. Studying computer software for programming robots and data analysis from elementary to professional levels creates conditions for the development and formation of future specialists.
"We are talking about the future of our children, about the future of our nation, we are talking about future professions that are already relevant today. From the first grade, children will participate in science in practice in an interactive form, assembling the robot itself and, not even knowing the laws of physics yet. In the eleventh grade, they will already be ready specialists of new professions. At many enterprises of the Cherkasy region, the production process is robotic, so the need for specialists with knowledge of robotics will be of priority importance," stressed the head of the Regional State Administration Yuriy Tkachenko.
"The most valuable resource of spiritual progress, national development of the country is giftedness. These things bring up children's inherent creative abilities and stimulate them to completely non-standard solutions to various tasks," said Valentina Kovalenko after the report.
Therefore, the LEGO Education educational program is planned for implementation in four educational institutions of the Cherkasy region.
