The General Director of Easygenerator (Netherlands) Casper Spiro visited the Zhytomyr University of Technology, where he discussed the issues of modern trends in the field of electronic learning methods with university students, local teachers and teachers.

According to him, modern technologies play one of the main roles in its development. Schoolchildren and students are already realizing that they can control their learning process independently, moving away from the old models, using the web. That is, they already have a choice of what, when, where and in what form to read or watch.

In his opinion, teachers act wrongly when they prohibit the use of gadgets, because nowadays formal education, to which everyone is accustomed, gives only 10 % of knowledge, another 20 % is the merit of informal education, but 70 % is generally all that gives us work in the chosen specialty. No school or university will give you what you have learned in practice. It is also worth considering that 90 % of the received information is not assimilated and is forgotten if there is no practice of applying this knowledge.

Online courses are not only very popular nowadays, but also quite effective and useful. Sitting at home, the user gains knowledge, learns something new.

"I believe that e-learning will have a great impact on education in general, and the ability to independently create online courses will be a positive trend on the way to the democratization of e-learning, because everyone interested can now try themselves as a designer of educational content. It is necessary to be clearly aware that a pupil or student can receive the same information in different ways, so it is worth experimenting," said Kasper Spiro.
