The Ministry of Education and Science sends for practical use methodological recommendations on the use of educational literature in general educational institutions when studying subjects of the invariant component of the curriculum in the 4th and 7th grades of the 2015/2016 academic year.
Primary school (4th grade). In the 2015/2016 school year, the primary school completely switches to new curricula, accordingly, fourth-graders continue their studies in such new subjects as: "Natural Science", "I in the World", "Computer Science". If, for financial reasons, the textbooks will not be delivered before the beginning of the school year, we suggest using the 2004 textbooks, workbooks (with the consent of parents) and additional didactic aids in the educational process.
Ukrainian language and literature (grade 7). In connection with the unloading of educational programs for students of grades 5-9, there were changes in the language and speech content lines, which is reflected in the appendix to the letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated June 26, 2015 No. 1/9-305 "Peculiarities of studying basic disciplines in general educational institutions in the 2015/2016 academic year". Let's pay attention to those new topics that are not covered in the school textbooks on Ukrainian language and literature for the 7th grade, on which the students of the National Academy of Sciences have been working for the past few years. New in the current program is the topic of the introductory lesson "Literary norms of the Ukrainian language", as well as the topic "Relationship of prepositions with indirect nouns". In the updated program on Ukrainian literature for the 7th grade, several works that were previously studied in the 6th grade appeared (L. Kostenko's poems "The Rain Poured..." and "Colored Mice"), as well as those that came to it for the first time.
Foreign languages (4th and 7th grades). The program on foreign languages for students of the 4th and 7th grades did not undergo drastic changes, as no new material was added to it, therefore, teachers can use textbooks from previous years of publication.
History of Ukraine (7th grade). The new program on the history of Ukraine contains significant changes compared to the previous one. They concern both the content and the implementation of elements of modern teaching methods and, no less important, historical terminology. The term "Russia-Ukraine" is introduced into the school curriculum.
World history (grade 7). A number of changes were made to the curriculum for the 7th grade of general education institutions on world history, requiring a critical approach, a certain transformation of the material compared to the textbooks published in 2007. The curriculum for 7th grade students includes practical classes that were not included in the previous program.
Mathematics (grade 7). According to the updated curriculum, the algebra course in the 7th grade begins with the topic "Integer expressions", which is covered in the second chapter of algebra textbooks. General information about equations and their main properties, to which the first chapter is devoted, is considered according to the updated program in the 6th grade when studying the topic "Rational numbers and actions with them". Therefore, we suggest that the first two or three lessons be devoted to repeating the main properties of equations and solving text problems with their help. Construction tasks have been removed from the geometry course. Therefore, we suggest that the topic "Geometric constructions" and the corresponding section of the textbook be considered as additional material for students who are interested in mathematics, intended for independent (or under the guidance of a teacher during extracurricular) study, and which is not subject to evaluation.
Geography (grade 7). The changes in the curriculum relate primarily to the content of the introduction, which deals with the subjects of studying the geography of continents and oceans, sources of geographic information, as well as the classification of geographic maps according to various features. The two sections dealing with the natural features of the continents and oceans are combined into one "Regularities of the Formation of the Nature of the Continents and Oceans", which consistently reveals the main geographical patterns.
