Since September 1, in Ukraine, a rule has been introduced for children in grades 1-4 to wear special reflective vests in the dark in order to be visible to drivers and road users. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman.
He reminded that the decision was made in the spring - during the All-Ukrainian Coordination Meeting on Road Safety. And during the meeting, the issue of children's safety as road users was one of the main issues. A sample of special clothes for children has already been prepared. The head of the government showed the vest to mothers and fathers who gathered in Kyiv to discuss the progress of the government initiative "There are no other people's children".
"From September 1, grades 1-4, all students must wear special vests that will enable the child to be visible in the dark," said Volodymyr Groysman. - We need to create a child protection system. The issue of road safety is of utmost importance here."
Vests will be individual and free. "This is another of our initiatives for children," Volodymyr Groysman said.
