For entrants who take the final examination for the master's degree in "Law" this year, but previously obtained a higher education in another specialty, additional entrance tests at the university will not be a component of the competitive score. They will have only a qualifying nature - admitted or not admitted entrant to the competitive selection.

This is stated in the letter of the Ministry of Education and Culture regarding the organization of the admissions campaign for the master's level of higher education in the specialty "Law", sent to the heads of universities, SE "Inforesurs" and UTSOYAO.

According to operational data, 16,800 entrants registered for the final examination for the master's degree in "Law".

The document also provides an explanation regarding the admission of those who can participate in the competitive selection not based on the results of the external examination, but based on the results of the university entrance exams. These include:

• entrants who cannot take part in the single professional entrance examination due to the presence of diseases specified in the List of diseases and pathological conditions that may be an obstacle to passing the external examination;
• entrants who, in order to perform a single professional entrance test, require the creation of other special conditions than those specified in the List of special conditions created for persons with special educational needs at the centers of external examinations;
• entrants released from military service (including demobilized) after June 30, 2017.

For such entrants, universities will hold entrance exams on August 3, 2017. The answers will be checked by the admission commissions according to the list of correct answers, which will be posted at the end of the working day on August 3 on the website of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The results of these tests will be determined on a scale of 100-200 points according to the table of correspondence of test points to the rating evaluation. The UTSOYAO will provide these correspondence tables to the admission commissions no earlier than August 11.

We remind you that the registration of entrants to the "Law" master's program lasted from July 12 to July 25, 2017. External independent assessment for entrants will take place on August 3 and will contain three blocks of tasks:

• test of general educational legal competences;
• a test of six basic legal disciplines: constitutional, administrative, civil, civil procedural, criminal, criminal procedural law;
• foreign language test.

Testing will begin at 10 am. For admission, it is necessary to present the examination sheet and the original document certifying the identity of the person whose data is indicated in the sheet. Testing points will be located in regional centers (except Donetsk and Luhansk), Kyiv, Sloviansk, Mariupol, and Severodonetsk.
