In accordance with the "Slovakia 21" modernization program, the Ministry of Education and Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic will provide 2 scholarships for Ukrainian students to study in Slovakia in the 2015/2016 academic year. The curriculum for Ukrainian students includes a free 10-month language and professional training at the Institute for Language and Professional Training of Foreign Students of the Center for Further Education of the Comenius University of Bratislava with a grant from the Government of the Slovak Republic.
This training is aimed at the basic and professional preparation of students for taking entrance exams in Slovak universities with the aim of obtaining higher education in the Slovak Republic in the Slovak language within the framework of technical specializations.
The Ministry of National Education of Poland announced its intention to accept Ukrainian students and postgraduates for studies and internships at Polish higher educational institutions:
– 2 persons for master's degree studies;
– 10 people for part-time/semester studies (bachelor's programs, second semester of the academic year);
– 3 persons for training (internship) before graduate school.
As part of the agreement, all candidates must complete a one-year language training course.
The Republic of Poland provides students and post-graduate students with free education, necessary medical treatment and free accommodation in a dormitory.
The Polish side has identified priority specialties for the 2015-16 academic year (for obtaining a master's degree). They are natural sciences, chemical technology and engineering, physical and mathematical sciences, system sciences and cybernetics, automation and control, informatics and computing, mineral development, agriculture and forestry.
