Ukrainian freelance programmers completed a third of the orders placed in Eastern Europe in 2014. However, Ukraine's share in the market decreased by 8% for the year. Russia's share over the past year decreased by 15%, and Romania and Serbia - increased by 32% and 79%. This is evidenced by the data of the conducted studies.
The leading position among the customer countries is occupied by the USA (44% orders for the whole of Eastern Europe), along with this, Great Britain and Germany increased their share in orders by 32% and 30%. PHP developments are in the greatest demand, along with this, the demand for Node.js and AngularJS increased by 60% and 150%, Android and iPhone developments - by 80% and 100%.
The highest rate of payment for services is in Estonia ($27 per hour) and Russia ($26). In Ukraine, the average hourly wage is $22.
The study covered data from the largest freelance exchanges, more than 88 thousand profiles of freelance developers and 260 thousand projects for a total amount of more than 350 million dollars.
