According to information UNIAN, the Government of the country received information about their desire to reduce the term of compulsory education in secondary schools from 11 to 9 years.

According to UNESCO, in Austria, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Belarus, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, China, Japan, Israel, education is compulsory for children aged 6 to 15 years, in Finland, Great Britain, France, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Italy, Canada - for children aged 6 to 16 years, in Georgia - for children aged 6 to 12 years.
