From October 26, a new distribution of regions according to the levels of epidemic danger of the spread of COVID-19 will be effective in Ukraine.
The relevant decision was adopted by the State Commission on Technological and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations at a meeting held on October 23.
According to the decision of the commission, 100 Ukrainian cities and districts are assigned to the "red" level of danger.
In 50 territorial units of the "red" zone, among other restrictions, from October 26, a ban on visiting educational institutions by students will be in effect.
Most of the regions where educational institutions will be closed for schoolchildren and students are in Luhansk, Zhytomyr and Odesa regions.
Also, the ban on visiting educational institutions will apply in two regional centers — Sumy and Mykolaiv and the administrative center of Luhansk region — Severodonetsk.
By the decision of the TEB Commission and National Emergency Kyiv, Kyiv is assigned to the "orange" level of epidemic danger of the spread of COVID-19.
