There will be no forcing teachers to get vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to achieve the desired level of vaccinated teaching staff.
Minister of Education Serhiy Shkarlet announced this on the air of the "Breakfast with 1+1" program.
"No one will be forced to get vaccinated, as each person may have individual medical contraindications, for example, allergies," the minister noted.
At the same time, Serhiy Shkarlet emphasized that during his visit to the Zhytomyr region and communication with the teachers of the region, he made sure that the teachers were optimistic enough about the new norm about the need to vaccinate 80 % teaching staff of the school to ensure the educational process, since everyone wants to return to regular education and conduct educational process in full format mode.
"And the parents themselves push the teaching staff to this. But it depends on our consciousness, if we want to have a healthy nation, to have a full-fledged educational process - we need to get vaccinated. There can be no forced vaccination. If there are no 80% vaccinated teaching staff, the educational process will take place in distance or mixed formats," said the Minister of Education.
