The previous government made a decision on the salaries of educators, which requires a large increase, large additional expenditures from the State budget.

"It was approved by the previous government, it is valid. We are now thinking with the Ministry of Finance, with the Prime Minister, how to find these funds and where. There are different estimates of what this amount is. The Ministry of Finance gave consolidated information from the regions that this is an additional almost 45 billion hryvnias. For our economy, these are huge funds that need to be extracted from somewhere, taken from someone and given here. As the Minister of Education, I would be very happy to do so, but other ministers probably won't really understand," said Novosad.

According to the Minister of Education, work is ongoing with the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister to increase the salaries of educators, but in the near future there will be a slightly different tool to do this.

She also noted that she is not offended by the previous Minister of Education, Liliya Hrynevych, because of the adoption of a document on promotion, which is difficult to implement.

"I can't be offended by Liliya Mykhailivna, we have natural intentions as ministers to make the salaries of educators higher. Perhaps the prime minister should have managed this situation a little differently and, for example, not to sign the resolution itself on the last evening before the appointment of a new government, but to sign it at least a little earlier. That's why I can't talk about the offense. The difficulty is that now we need to explain why the resolution is not included in the draft budget. It would have been easier if the resolution had said from which sources these tens of billions of hryvnias can be taken. I hope these funds will be found," the minister noted.
