According to the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, "the proximity of the educational programs of the universities of southeastern Ukraine and Russian higher educational institutions makes it possible to issue Russian-style diplomas to the graduates of 2015." In the same message, it is necessary to "pass re-certification by graduates of universities located in the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" in higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation in order to receive a diploma from one of the higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation in the future."
This decision was made during the work of the round table of rectors of Russian higher education institutions and "universities of southeastern Ukraine".
Ukrainian experts in the field of higher education emphasize the significant difference in curricula and qualification requirements for graduates of Ukrainian and Russian higher education institutions, and also claim that the diplomas of one of the higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation issued to graduates of higher educational institutions from the occupied territories based on the results of re-attestation will essentially be falsified diplomas about higher education, which will not be recognized not only in Ukraine, but by serious employers on the territory of the Russian Federation itself.
