In accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" in 2015, admission to universities will take place according to a new procedure.

According to the information of the authorized educational body, the applicant's competitive score will, as before, be formed in accordance with the results of an external independent assessment, the results of creative or physical tests (if this is defined in the admission rules) and the score of the certificate.

"Additional points for winning the All-Ukrainian Olympiad or the defense competition of scientific works of the Small Academy of Sciences have not disappeared either. Also, entrants will be awarded points for pre-university training," they said.

What changes have taken place in the structure of the formation of the entrance score?

First, to all the results of the competitive selection (ZNO, creative and physical tests, the score of the school certificate) a weighting factor will be applied. This was implemented in order to make it possible for educational institutions to determine which of the components is a priority according to his profile and the specialty chosen by the applicant.

Secondly, certificates from ZNO now valid for only one year. Each educational program is adjusted in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", according to this, the certificates of previous years become outdated and may not correspond to the already changed, new program.

Third, the results of all creative and physical tests will be calculated as an arithmetic average for all stages, which cannot be more than three. Thus, the sum of points for creative competitions will not exceed 200.

The last of the innovations is that the score of the school certificate will also be taken into account, and its result will again be translated into a two-hundred-point scale. It should be noted that its weight factor is much smaller than the rest of the components of the competitive score.
