The Ministry of Education and Culture significantly reduced the volume of state orders for the training of humanitarians, economists, pharmacists, and metallurgists and sharply increased funding for the training of agricultural producers.
Despite the information previously published by the Ministry of Education and Culture about the reduction of the number of budget places in universities to 12%, in fact, according to the estimates of experts of the market of higher education services, the volume of state orders has been cut by approximately 20%. Humanities majors suffered the most (philology – by 51.4%, practical psychology – by 40%, philosophy – by 32%, history – by 26%, journalism – by 48%, advertising and PR – by 51%, political science – by 40%, etc.).
Economists will be trained less (economic theory, international economics, business economics - minus 16-17%), management (-10%), mathematicians, chemists, biologists (less by 11-16%), IT specialties (less by 4 5%), less will be metallurgists (by 20%), foundry specialists (-14.5%), lawyers (-6%), pharmacists (-23%).
Significantly increased orders for agricultural specialties, such as livestock production and processing technology (+ 639%), agro-industrial production (+ 327%). Added food technologies (+ 15%), technology of light industry goods (+ 19%), nuclear energy (+ 18%), hydropower, engineering (+ 6%). Orders for military specialties and doctors also increased significantly, but there are no statistics on them yet.
