"Student scholarships are not canceled, so I ask everyone to calm down," said the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Kvit on his Facebook page.

The minister's message was caused by considerable concern and dissatisfaction of the student community in connection with the information on the withdrawal of scholarships from all categories of students, except for certain privileged categories, which became known from the mass media.

We remind you that the Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine plans to reduce the number of universities by 70 institutions by the end of 2014, which will be approximately one fourth of the total number of higher education institutions in Ukraine.
