The field of knowledge "29 International Relations" will complement the list of fields of knowledge and specialties for which higher education applicants are trained. The relevant resolution was adopted today, November 23, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
"The International Relations field of knowledge includes 3 specialties: International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies, International Economic Relations, International Law. The name of the field of knowledge "Education" is taught in the new edition "Education/Pedagogy". This is an extremely important resolution, it is the result of long negotiations and consultations both with the educational and expert environment, as well as with employers," said the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Liliya Hrynevych.
The resolution was also supplemented with a norm according to which all those who obtained a higher education in the specialties "081 Law", "262 Law enforcement activities" and "293 International law" at the bachelor's and master's level of higher education have the right to hold positions or engage in activities that require the presence of higher legal education.
7 new specialties were added to the list, including: "106 Geography", "126 Information systems and technologies", "187 Woodworking and furniture technologies", "194 Hydrotechnical construction, water engineering and water technologies", "228 Industrial pharmacy", " 229 Public health", "256 National security (by separate areas of provision and types of activities)".
We remind you that in 2015, the transition to a consolidated list of fields of knowledge and specialties, which corresponds to world practice, was carried out. This transition harmonized the Ukrainian List with the lists operating in European countries and the world, which made it possible to simplify the procedures for the recognition of diplomas and the creation of double diploma programs in cooperation between Ukrainian universities and international partners. At the same time, the List required changes and additions, which, in fact, were made.
