Delivery of textbooks for 4th and 7th grade students should start on December 1. This was announced by the Minister of Education and Science, Serhiy Kvit, during a meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

"The Ministry has taken all the necessary organizational measures to speed up the publication of new textbooks. In particular, the tender procedures for the purchase of textbooks have been completed, and agreements have been concluded with publishing houses for the printing of large-scale editions for students of the 4th and 7th grades of general education institutions teaching in Ukrainian and Russian," said Kvit.

In the future, the Ministry plans to sign contracts for the publication of translated textbooks for students of schools teaching in the languages of national minorities and for children with special educational needs.

"For the publication of 140 titles of textbooks with a total circulation of 4,351,430 copies, which is 72.5% of the total number of textbooks, an advance in the amount of UAH 77,111,900 was transferred. Some of the editions of the textbooks have been printed, others are being printed," the minister noted.

According to the information of the Minister of Education and Science, the main carriers that will deliver textbooks and manuals to the departments of education and science of regional state administrations throughout Ukraine have already been identified.
