Participation in testing is mandatory for everyone, with the exception of 11th grade students and school graduates of previous years who intend to enter higher education institutions. The results of this year's test will simultaneously be counted as a state final certification for the school course of Ukrainian language and literature, as well as an entrance test for those wishing to enter higher educational institutions this year.
This year, participants of the Ukrainian language and literature test have the opportunity to take a test of two difficulty levels: basic or advanced. Changes have also been made to the task evaluation system, which, starting this year, will be based on the principle of determining a threshold score. Applicants who do not overcome the threshold determined by experts will not be able to take further part in the admissions campaign this year.
This year's basic level of certification work contains 58 tasks that participants must complete in 150 minutes. Provided that all tasks of the basic level test are correctly performed, the participant of the external examination can score a maximum of 104 points.
Advanced level certification work will include 74 tasks. 58 of them will have a basic level of difficulty, 16 - advanced. The time for completing the work for the participants of the ZNO will be limited to 210 minutes (150 minutes for completing tasks of the basic level and 60 minutes for completing tasks of the advanced level). A participant in the advanced Ukrainian language examination can score a maximum of 136 points.
The test papers of both levels will also include one task with a detailed answer to the argumentative statement of the participant of the external examination on a discussion topic. Such a statement should contain at least 100 words.
Test centers will begin external evaluation at 11 a.m. on April 24.
Attention ZNO participants! Admission to the testing point begins 45 minutes and ends 10 minutes before the start of the external assessment. For admission to the ZNO point, the following must be presented: a certificate of external independent assessment; document, the name and number of which are indicated in the Certificate; invitation-pass to participate in external evaluation.
