Dormitories of educational institutions will also be inspected for compliance with quarantine rules.
Kyiv is preparing for the beginning of the school year. Inspections of all dormitories, universities, lyceums and schools are starting in the capital. These measures are used to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, said Oleg Ruban, head of the State Production and Demand Service of Kyiv, RBC-Ukraine reports.
"Today we are preparing for these processes. All dormitories, all universities, all lyceums and schools will be monitored in order to prevent the spread of infection among organized collectives," said Ruban.
According to him, the State Consumer Service fears that an outbreak of the coronavirus may occur in dormitories and children's institutions after the resumption of education.
We will remind that after the detection of the outbreak of COVID-19, at the end of July, the dormitory of the Institute of Special Communication and Information Protection of the National University "Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" was closed for quarantine. There, the coronavirus was confirmed in 133 cadets.
Ten of them were hospitalized. In addition, one KPI teacher was admitted to the hospital. Other cadets are being treated in the dormitory under the supervision of doctors.
