The Ministry of Education asks the management of all general secondary education institutions to maximally and actively contribute to the professional development and improvement of the qualifications of teaching staff. This is stated in the methodological recommendations for improving the qualifications of teachers, which are provided by the Department of Education.
Provision of detailed clarifications regarding professional development of teaching staff, related to the adoption of the new law "On comprehensive general secondary education", which, in particular, details new approaches to professional development.
"Active support of teaching staff by the institution's administration - clarification of the new training procedure, help (if necessary) in determining the competencies that teaching staff need to improve the most, etc. - is a guarantee of the formation of partnership pedagogy in the educational institution, its sustainable development, preservation of healthy microclimate in the team, improvement of the activity of the educational institution and the quality of education in general", - the department notes.
That is why, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine emphasizes, it is extremely important that any forms and types of professional development chosen by a pedagogical worker really lead to the acquisition of new and/or improvement of existing competencies.
The recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science contain a detailed description of the forms and types of advanced training, characterize the subjects of advanced training, detail the features of advanced training programs, the scope of advanced training, describe the stages of planning advanced training, features of the contract for the provision of advanced training services, and the features of financing advanced training , recognition of the results of professional development of teaching staff, etc.
In addition, the Ministry of Education proposed for use indicative forms of basic documents that can be used by pedagogical workers, educational institutions and subjects of professional development.
