Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Education of the Republic of Korea Lee Joon-sik plans to visit Ukraine in March. Korean Ambassador Lee Young-gu said this at a meeting with the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Liliya Hrynyvych, on January 27 at the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Mr. Ambassador noted that the trip of Lilia Hrynevych to Korea, where she took part in the international forum "Global ICT Leadership Forum", interested Mr. Lee Joon-sik and drew attention to Ukraine. Therefore, the Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Education of the Republic of Korea plans to meet with Ukrainian high-ranking officials and get to know the country better.
"Ukraine has significant scientific and natural potential, which is currently not being used to its full extent. Cooperation between our two countries will open up new opportunities for all of us. We are interested in the development and deepening of bilateral ties between our countries," added Mr. Lee Young Gu.
The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine noted that her working trip to the Republic of Korea made it possible to identify points of contact and areas in which the countries can cooperate. In particular, one of the priorities for both states is the development of STEAM education, there is significant potential for deepening cooperation in the field of higher education.
"The trip to Korea, as well as the meeting with the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Education of the Republic of Korea Lee Joon-sik (Lee Joon-sik) was very informative and interesting for us. If the need arises, we will be happy to help you solve the issues related to the organization of the visit," emphasized Liliya Hrynevych.
