The day before, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine held an event regarding the Twinning project "Modernization of legal standards and principles of education and training in accordance with the policy of the European Union on lifelong learning."

Participants in the meeting were Pavlo Polyanskyi, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, representatives of the embassies of Germany and Denmark, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education and Science, and the European Education Fund.

International experts worked together with specialists from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to improve Ukrainian legislation on vocational and technical education.

Work on this project began in January 2013, the main goal of which was to create a modern system of professional education that would meet the existing needs of the labor market.

All participants positively noted this project and noted its further impact on the improvement of professional education. For example, the achievements of the Ukrainian and European sides have already been used in the creation of a number of draft laws, namely: the framework law "On Education", incl. Chapter VI "Professional Education"; the new law "On professional education".

Also, in the near future, the authorized persons will start work on the Regulation on regional centers of professional education.
