A bilateral working meeting of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was held, the purpose of which was to discuss current educational issues and find further ways to solve urgent issues of financing the industry.

The participants of the meeting were the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Kvit, Deputy Minister of Education and Science - Chief of Staff Oleksiy Dniprov, Head of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine Heorhiy Trukhanov, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Serhiy Romanyuk, Deputy Head of the Trade Union, Chairman of the Higher School Council of the Central Committee of the Trade Union Volodymyr Tsvikh and head of the Chernihiv regional organization of the Trade Union Tetyana Matveeva.

During the meeting, it was about preventing a reduction in the funding of the education sector in the next year, which will lead to a deterioration in the quality of educational services from kindergarten to higher school.

Special attention was paid to the formation of the education budget for 2015 and the provision of socio-economic expenses in it. A number of other relevant issues were also discussed.

The social partners agreed to coordinate further joint actions in solving the outlined tasks regarding the observance of the constitutional rights and guarantees of educators.
