This year, 7 private kindergartens, one communal kindergarten and 76 additional groups in municipal preschool educational institutions were opened.

Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Hanna Starostenko, reported this information during the opening of kindergarten-nursery No. 445 in Darnytskyi district.

"The task of the Kyiv authorities today is to return those preschool educational institutions that are not used for their intended purpose. However, since this process is very long, and children already need to attend kindergartens, the capital authorities have found another solution - we will transfer elementary schools located in kindergartens to schools. And at the expense of the vacated places, additional groups are created," explained the deputy head of the KMDA.

In this way, it can be stated that 76 additional groups have already been created, which actually equates to 16 full-fledged kindergartens.
