As First Deputy Minister Inna Sovsun notes, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine does not need the amount of personal data on teachers required by EDEBO.
"The only thing the Ministry is interested in is (1) avoiding a situation where one professor is registered at 10 departments in different cities to obtain a license; (2) data (generalized) on the conditions under which teachers work; but this is of interest not even for individual teachers, but for the purpose of generalization and collection of qualitative statistics, because now we do not even have an idea of what employment is in the field of education, how many teachers in which fields we have, what their degree of employment is, etc. d." - emphasized Inna Sovsun.
According to letter of the First Deputy Minister, implementation of the clause "Regulations on the Unified State Electronic Database on Education" of the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" was suspended.
In order to resolve all issues related to EDEBO, a meeting will be convened next week to discuss issues related to its functionality and capabilities.
