The 2nd annual summit of the Ukrainian-American Working Group: Providing Ukraine with an Annual Report Card (US-UA Working Group Yearly Summit II: Providing Ukraine with an Annual Report Card) was held in Washington (USA), which was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Kvit .

The participants of the summit were representatives of government circles and public organizations of Canada, the USA, Ukraine and EU countries. Speaking at the summit, Minister Serhiy Kvit noted the main policy directions of the Government of Ukraine, described the socio-political situation in the East of the country, and also noted the prospects for reforming the educational sector of Ukraine in accordance with European and world standards.

While in the USA, Minister Serhii Kvit held meetings with representatives of the American Council on Foreign Policy, the American Council on International Education, the International Republican Institute, the Open World program, the Jamestown Foundation, the Ukraine-USA Foundation, and the National Endowment for Democracy and gave an interview Ukrainian service of the TV channel "Voice of America". 

Together with important issues of education, prospects and opportunities for cooperation in the educational field were discussed. Also, the Minister and US government officials talked about providing assistance to Ukraine in learning the English language, without knowledge of which integration into the global scientific and educational space is impossible.

Prospects for the further development of Ukrainian-American cooperation in the spheres of higher and secondary education, as well as the intensification of scientific research, were discussed during the meeting of the Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Kvit with the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Oleksandr Motsyk.
