Due to numerous appeals by teachers and students of educational institutions regarding the facts of pressure on them and coercion to perform tasks not related to the educational process, which have signs of the use of administrative resources during the elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Culture appeals to all heads of higher education institutions to comply with the legislation (Letter of the Ministry No. 1/9-503 dated September 29, 2014.).
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine emphasizes the strict observance of the first part of Article 32 of the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" (the activity of a higher educational institution is conducted on the principles of independence from political parties) and Article 3, Clause 6, Article 11 of the Law of Ukraine "On Elections of People's Deputies" of Ukraine" (all candidates for people's deputies of Ukraine have equal rights and opportunities to participate in the election process, the election process is carried out on the basis of impartiality of state authorities, authorities of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, local self-government bodies, courts, enterprises, institutions, institutions and organizations, their leaders, other officials and officials of the parties - subjects of the election process, candidates for deputies).
Also, the Ministry of Education and Culture warns about the responsibility of heads of educational institutions in the event of violations of legislation.
