Large development companies have formulated industry standards that provide an accurate description of what specialists they need. Industry standards are requirements that IT companies set for the level of training and competence of applicants.
Developed standards for the professions of programmer, IT project manager, product manager, information systems specialist, etc. Work on the standards was carried out by one of the industry associations - the ICT Competitiveness Council, documents published on the website of the association.
All the developed documents were sent to the Ministries of Education, after familiarizing themselves with them, the department supported this initiative, and it is possible to recommend higher education institutions to focus on these documents.
Representatives of KPI, NAU and other technical universities took part in the working group for the preparation of standards, who will be able to adjust the curricula based on what IT companies need in practice. In the future, it is also possible to adjust the classifier of IT professions taking into account market realities.
