On October 11, the first stage of the pilot certification of teachers ended, during which an expert assessment of the professional competencies of the certification participants took place. This was reported by the State Service for the Quality of Education.

Assessment of teachers' professional competences was carried out by studying the practical experience of their work.

The study process was carried out by experts according to the methodology developed by the Service in accordance with the Concept of the New Ukrainian School.

In general, in the period from April to October 2019, the Service formed expert groups and organized a study of the practical experience of 811 teachers from 609 general secondary education institutions.

1,500 experts were trained to carry out an expert assessment of the professional competences of certification participants, 1,050 of whom participated in the study of the experience of teachers undergoing certification this year.

As you know, certification is an external assessment of the professional competencies of a pedagogical worker, which is carried out through independent testing, self-assessment and study of practical work experience. Certification takes place exclusively on a voluntary basis.

The next stage of certification will be independent testing of certification participants. Testing will take place on October 31. Teachers participating in the certification have already received invitations to the external examination.
