The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced the selection of higher educational institutions and scientific institutions of the Ministry of Education and Culture, which will be provided with access to electronic scientific databases at the expense of the state budget.

The selection will be carried out by a specially created Commission, which will include representatives of the MES, the State Scientific and Technical Library and the universities and scientific institutions of the MES.

The commission will consider the following criteria:

– the number of full-time researchers;

– the amount of funding for research and development works per full-time researcher;

- the number of publications in scientific journals included in the Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus electronic scientific databases per 100 full-time researchers;

- the method of organizing access to electronic scientific databases and the available material and technical base that will be used in the event of providing such access;

- the possibility of providing access to electronic scientific databases to representatives of other organizations.

Applications will be accepted until September 1 inclusive. They must be submitted according to the sample given in Appendix 1 to Procedure for providing access higher educational institutions and scientific institutions under the management of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Participants can apply for access to several electronic databases. A separate application is submitted for each of them.
