Ukrainian teachers will no longer need to take a census and keep records of children enrolled in education. This is stated in the press service of the Ministry of Education, with reference to the relevant government decision adopted on September 13.
In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Procedure for keeping records of school-aged children and students, which will replace the Instructions for keeping records of school-aged children and adolescents, which was approved back in 2000.
The new document states that keeping records of school-age children will be carried out by district state administrations and city, township, village councils, including the Central Administrative Court, their executive bodies with the involvement of relevant territorial bodies of the National Police and services for children. They will be prohibited from involving employees of educational institutions in the organization and maintenance of this record.
