Six Ukrainian universities will receive funds to modernize and improve the energy efficiency of educational buildings and dormitories as part of the "Higher Education in Ukraine" project.
The project is implemented with the support of the European Investment Bank and a grant from the East European Partnership for Energy Efficiency and Environment Fund.
In particular, Vinnytsia National Technical University, Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute National Technical University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Yury Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic National University, Chernihiv Polytechnic National University and Sumy State University will take part in the project.
It is expected that these universities will soon be joined by eight more institutions of higher education that won the right to participate in the second stage of the project on a competitive basis.
In general, the European Investment Bank intends to invest 120 million euros in comprehensive thermal modernization of Ukrainian universities.
