After receiving 60-120 ECTS credits, students will be given the right to determine their specialty within the field direction.
The draft law, which received the support of the Cabinet of Ministers, provides for the implementation of an initiative for the development of individual educational paths and optimization of the educational process in higher educational institutions.
According to this document, it is envisaged to create an opportunity for universities to introduce interdisciplinary programs at the bachelor's level.
Thus, students will first receive an education within the framework of a general program (which combines several specialties), and then, having mastered the basics, they can specify their choice of specialty after obtaining 60–120 ECTS credits. The specifics of the choice will depend on the program provided by the university.
As an example, a student who spends two years in the field of "Social Sciences" will be able to decide whether he wants to major in sociology, social work, or political science.
