The government has approved the composition of the National Qualifications Agency (NAK) - it will become the platform where rules for building and updating professional standards will be created. This will help the MES to more dynamically adapt educational standards to the requirements of the labor market.

12 people made up the NAC - representatives of the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Economic Development, employers and trade unions. They are appointed for 3 years with the possibility of working for 2 terms.

In the near future, the head of the agency and his deputies will be elected, as well as the necessary procedures for the registration of the NAC, the formation of its secretariat, working bodies, etc. will be carried out. It is assumed that the secretariat will include about 60 people who will ensure the work of the agency.

After these steps, it will be possible to fully launch the work of the NAK, which should become the main collegial body for the implementation of state policy in the field of qualifications. First of all, the agency should focus on the creation of the National Qualifications System, in particular, clear relationships and correlations between learning outcomes at the relevant levels of education, qualifications and the labor market.

This system, for example, will allow to create a mechanism for recognizing non-formal and informal education, assigning partial professional qualifications based on this. In essence, this means that a person who has received a certain qualification either independently, at work, or at individual courses, will be able to quickly confirm it and receive a corresponding official document without additional training at an educational institution.

The unified system will also simplify the process of mutual recognition of professional qualifications between Ukraine, the EU and other countries without unnecessary bureaucratic procedures.

Monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of state policy in the field of qualifications, coordination of interested parties, development of professional standards, formation of the legislative basis for the work of qualification centers, and forecasting of the needs of the labor market in terms of qualifications will be no less important tasks of the NAK.
