The Ministry of Education allows the possibility of an actual extension of the school year in Ukraine. This is stated in the department's explanations regarding the organization of the educational process in schools during the quarantine.

In particular, the department informs that the Law of Ukraine "On Comprehensive General Secondary Education" establishes that the educational process in general secondary education institutions ends no later than July 1.

"If, due to the epidemiological situation in Ukraine, the validity period of the quarantine will be changed, the actual duration of the school year may be extended. In this case, the educational process will include an analysis of the implementation of educational programs, taking into account the actually conducted educational classes (including remotely) and the results of the students' education obtained during the quarantine," the Ministry of Education and Science reported.
