In 2021, the Ministry of Education and Science intends to continue work on raising wages for educators.

Minister Serhii Shkarlet said this during a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Education and Science.

Also, among the main goals of the Ministry of Education next year, Skarlet mentioned approving the Standard Educational Program for grades 5-9, continuing the implementation of the "Efficient School for Better Results" program, and introducing a teaching internship.

In addition, summing up the results of 2020, the minister recalled that this year the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education was approved, the development of standard educational programs began, and more than 900 teachers were certified.

"The Concept for the Development of Science and Mathematics Education (STEM Education) was adopted to popularize science and technology, mathematics, and engineering professions. We have also started the reform of school meals," said Serhii Shkarlet.
