The Ukrainian Center for the Evaluation of the Quality of Education expressed the hope that all educational institutions, in which external independent evaluation of foreign languages is planned, will be equipped with high-quality sound reproduction equipment. This is reported in the informed press service of the UTSOYAO.

In particular, the Center, referring to the decision of the government of April 11 of this year, notes that from now on it is allowed to direct funds to consumption expenses in the case of the need to purchase low-value non-current material assets, including devices for playing CDs with sound recordings for general secondary schools education

"We hope that the above-mentioned measures will make it possible to provide all points of external independent assessment of foreign languages with high-quality sound reproduction equipment. It is important that this sound-reproducing technique will remain on the balance sheet of educational institutions," emphasized the Ukrainian Center for the Evaluation of the Quality of Education.

As you know, in 2018, one of the innovations of foreign language tests will be the introduction of the part of the "Listening comprehension" test. During the test, participants will be asked to alternately listen to several audio recordings lasting from 10 seconds to 3 minutes, and then answer a variety of questions while working in a notebook.

Tasks will test the ability to understand what has been heard and select the necessary information from the texts listened to. Each audio track will be played twice.
