Certification allows you to encourage teachers, as well as give them the opportunity to declare themselves. This was said by the Minister of Education and Science, Hanna Novosad, commenting on the completion of the registration process for participation in certification in 2020.

"Certification for us is an opportunity to further encourage the best teachers, because every teacher who successfully passes it will receive 20% salary increments. For teachers, this is an opportunity to declare themselves and confirm their professionalism. This year, we have increased the quota for participation in certification. As a result, twice as many teachers applied for it. For us, this is an important signal, and we will continue to develop this mechanism," the Minister of Education said.

This year, 1,711 primary school teachers from all over Ukraine expressed their desire to participate in the certification. The all-Ukrainian quota for teachers' participation in certification was 2,000 places.

The first stage of certification, during which the external assessment of professional knowledge and skills of teachers will take place, will take place on February 29, 2020.
