At the meeting of the board of the Ministry of Education and Culture, the director of the department of higher education, Serhii Bondarenko, made public information about the features of the admissions campaign to higher educational institutions in 2015.

Among such features, Serhiy Bondarenko noted the establishment of the principle of equality in admission for graduates of all years thanks to the refusal to use tests taken in previous years. In addition, for the first time the Rules of admission to higher educational institutions were not coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The changes also provide for participation in the competition based on the results of entrance exams based on the secondary education of persons who have been discharged from military service and their admission to higher educational institutions. We are talking about military personnel who defended the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine and took a direct part in the anti-terrorist operation.

Also, out-of-competition admission is provided for persons whose one parent was a military serviceman who died or was recognized by the court as a missing person while performing his military service duties within three years after obtaining the appropriate general secondary education.
