Dear compatriots, today is Ukraine's Cathedral Day!
The day of January 22, 1919 entered the national calendar as a major state holiday — the Day of the Unity of Ukraine. It was then that the event that generations of Ukrainian patriots dreamed of took place on the square in front of Kyiv Sofia: at a large gathering, the union of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the West Ukrainian People's Republic was solemnly announced. The proclamation of the Sobornytskyi idea became a powerful manifestation of the creative energy of the nation and the desire for ethnic and territorial unity.
We believe that the territorial integrity of Ukraine, cemented by the blood of millions of indomitable fighters, will forever remain inviolable. We must be aware that only in unity of action and unity of soul can we achieve the great goal of building an economically and spiritually rich, free and democratic Ukraine that our descendants will be proud of. Let's cherish everything that works for the idea of national unity, always remembering the countless sacrifices made on the altar of independence, unity, and statehood.
We wish you all good health, happiness, peace and fruitful cooperation. Let everything conceived for the benefit and good of our united country and its population be successfully implemented.
Happy holiday, dear ones!
