On April 18-19, the international finals of the "Golden Byte" computer talent championship will be held, which will present such projects as: a reading system adapted for blind people; ideas for implementing the "smart home" technology; power consumption management system; gamified projects for waste disposal; applications for orientation of the deaf and dumb in big cities; interactive systems for medical education; solutions for organizing a virtual workplace and many others. "Changing the world" will be the main theme of the championship in 2015.
More than 8,000 participants from educational institutions of Ukraine, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Republic of Estonia took part in the event. Participants' projects will be evaluated by well-known representatives of the IT industry.
Awards will be given to participants in 9 nominations:
– Startup Challenge (competition of software projects).
– Networking Technologies (nomination for system administrators).
– Mobile Development (mobile application competition).
– Game Design (game creation competition).
– Character Design (competition to create game characters).
– Web Design (competition of web projects).
– Short Movie (competition of short films).
– NoSQL Expert (competition of applications for working with databases).
– Best in Cloud (competition of projects using the Microsoft Azure service).
– The program of the international finals of the "Golden Byte" computer talent championship is as follows:
April 18, Saturday
10:00 – 10:30 – ceremonial opening of the Championship finals.
10:40 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. – presentations of the finalists' projects.
April 19, Sunday
12:30 - a solemn awarding ceremony for the winners of the Championship.
For children aged 10 to 14, the competition also has a nomination - Junior Competition.
Note that this event is very important for the IT industry of Ukraine, because it will be attended by representatives of such large companies as: InterSystems, Microsoft, Dell, Intel, Nuawei, Stearling Studio, etc.
The winners will receive a bonus in the form of educational trips to the world centers of information technologies and to the largest IT conferences for developers.
