The Ministry of Education and Science has developed a draft Regulation on Pedagogical Internship, which defines the mechanism of accompanying teachers who are first appointed to the position of a pedagogical worker.
It is planned that the main task of the pedagogical internship will be the creation of a system of professional and pedagogical adaptation of the intern to the real conditions of activity, in particular, the performance of educational, educational, methodical, organizational work and other pedagogical work.
The term of pedagogical internship will be one year.
During the entire period of activity of the intern, his work at the school will be accompanied by a teacher-mentor who has experience in teaching in a related subject specialization.
An additional payment will be made for the fulfillment of the mentor's duties.
Pedagogical internship is conducted in accordance with the program, which will provide theoretical and practical assistance to the intern.
The main activities of the pedagogical internship are individual consultations and conversations between the teacher-mentor and the intern, assistance in the selection of appropriate literature, preparation of training sessions, development of didactic materials, etc.
In addition, the intern and his/her mentor must visit each other's classes and attend the lessons of other experienced teachers.
To implement the pedagogical internship program, the teacher-mentor must provide mentoring support, facilitate the intern's adaptation to pedagogical activities, and acquaint him with the traditions of the school.
During the internship, the young teacher must perform duties in accordance with the job description and the duties assigned to him by the employment contract.
The report on the implementation of the pedagogical internship program will be heard at a meeting of the school's pedagogical council.
The public discussion of the draft Regulation on pedagogical internship will last until December 28.
